JOHN J. HARTMAN, Ph.D.
Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy
Dr. Hartman received his A.B. magna cum laude in Social Relations from Harvard College. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan. He received his psychoanalytic training at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute.
He has taught in the Psychology departments at UCLA, Michigan, and the University of Tampa. He has also taught in the Psychiatry Department at the University of Michigan where he was a tenured Associate Professor.
He is currently Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of South Florida. He serves on the faculty of the Florida Psychoanalytic Center where he is a Training and Supervising analyst.
He has authored or co-authored several books and numerous scientific papers. His scholarly work has focused on the application of psychoanalysis to groups, propaganda, ethnic conflict, and artistic productions.
